Dammit, dammit dammit! Team Automattic has NOT yet fixed their timezone feature under the ‘options-general.php`. Here is the generic message:
Unfortunately, you have to manually update this for Daylight Savings Time. Lame, we know, but will be fixed in the future.
I’ve had my timezone set to UTC-7 hours, thinking this was STANDARD TIME, when in fact is DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME. I do NOT recall changing this setting since I signed up with WordPress.com. I just changed the timezone to UTC-8, which is my PREFERRED setting!!!
- Any blog entries prior to THIS most recent post has been published to the timezone of UTC-7 hours.
- Going forward and starting with this latest blog entry, the timezone is to be UTC-8 hours.
There should be options to reflect new timezone settings:
- Reset ALL posts to DST.
- Reset SOME posts (with a date_range) to DST.
- Reset ALL post to Standard Time.
- Reset SOME posts (with a date_range) to Standard Time.
- Toggle to show time stamp.*
- Toggle to hide time stamp.*
* To be available for ALL free themes here at WordPress.com, including sub-options for pages and posts.
Get going, team Automattic: FIX IT! I am NOT pleased. I am feeling sad. Waaahhh!
NOTE to self: This blog entry has been changed to reflect the STANDARD TIME (UTC-8) of 23:34pm on Sunday, 11/08/2009! Dammit!
