20080323-Easter Colors
Sun., 23-Mar-2008Happy Easter! Today we woke up early to attend the 07:00AM ‘CatHoleLick’ mass, which ’Razor’ and ‘WinTea’ missed because ‘Paw’ (the old man) told the boy at 07:30AM in error. ‘Maw’ got mad at me by scowling for now greeting the girl, who looked like she awoke too early from the tears of yawn in her eyes.
Afterwards, we ate at Carrow’s Restaurant until 09:30AM, ordered a senior breakfast (of scrambled eggs, two sausage links and two pancakes) to go and arrived at Vintage Estates of Hayward (Room 111) around 10:00AM to visit the paternal grandmother (who is 90 years old).
We watched her eat one fluffy pancake and one sausage link, each time dipping her bite-sized pieces into the thick syrup, which I didn’t touch earlier because the ‘high fructose’ content of ‘corn syrup’ is too much for me. I’ve been avoiding these sort of ingredients that would put me into a state of ‘glucose-like’ coma (or a nice nap) of over two hours.
Pictures were taken, blessings were done and our goodbyes were hugs and kisses. We left around 11:00AM and ‘Paw’ as usual signed off the sheet at the nurses’ station, with my complimentary smiley face inside a narrow box where space is available. Oh and I did some rearrangement to some photos (including my nemesis — ‘Macaroni’, ‘Orge’, ‘Giant’ and ‘Joh’) by hiding them from view.
‘Maw’ wanted to visit ‘Mal-Norm’, the elder sister of ‘Paw’. I drove there, parked on the driveway while ‘Paw’ knocked on the door, only to return with a smile on his face, which signaled the old hag is not at home. He didn’t want to visit (or pop-over unexpectedly like ‘Maw’ does) uninvited. Old timers of the side of ‘Paw’ don’t seem to get along too well and rarely talk to each other anymore.
Our plan was to buy cassette tapes to practice some dance moves for the upcoming social function at our local church. I got mad again because I wanted to go home. So we then drove to 99 Ranch Market and bought food to take home for lunch. ‘Maw’ prepared the food for lunch, went upstairs to get undressed and is still napping around 01:40PM.
Of course, I ran upstairs and proceeded to work on my weblog because this is all that remains of my creative mind while unemployed (or imprisoned by TPTB). For the past two weeks and after receiving my 16-paged, laminated, browser book for $55.00 on Friday, 03/21/2008, I had fun and played around with the colors for the scrollbars, background, fonts and borders, which I enlarged from 1px to 3px.
My newest inspiration to incorporate the pastel colors of light yellow and light pink into my weblog was from the cover of the daily booklet used for mass. The cover had the light purple background color (similar to the ‘wrapper’ of this ‘DayDream’ theme) with both the white (#FFFFFF) and the light yellow colors for the fonts.
I used the ‘Pale White Yellow’ (#FFFFCC) for the three sections: comment, postmeta and navigation. The borders are ‘Yellow’ (#FFFF00) and ‘Pale White Magenta’ (#FFCCFF). I am keeping myself happy this way, beside contributing to another discussion forum during my down times.
So far the weather is clear blue skies with no clouds, except for a few chemtrails laid earlier this morning on the east side hills of the Bay Area. There is a misty whiteness along the horizon instead of the brown muck one would see after the spewplanes left their persistent cloud trails behind. Later on we plan to go shopping but I don’t feel like it for now.
